The short version: Forge Athletics Martial Arts Summer Camp runs June 8 – July 31, 2026, ages 6–14, in Naples FL. Full days, coached by trained professionals, built around martial arts skill, character, and fitness. Early-bird pricing closes May 1.

Parents considering a martial arts summer camp in Naples FL usually want the same two things: a kid who comes home tired and happy, and a program that’s actually doing something real while they’re there. You’ve seen the photos — kids in gis, hands up, throwing strikes on pads — but what does a full day at a martial arts summer camp actually look like? Is it just fighting drills for six hours? (Spoiler: absolutely not.)

At Forge Athletics Summer Camp, every day is structured to keep kids ages 6–14 engaged, challenged, and genuinely having fun from drop-off to pick-up. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what your child will experience.

What a Typical Day at Martial Arts Summer Camp in Naples Looks Like

Our full-day program runs 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and no two hours look the same. Here’s the daily flow:

9:00 AM — Drop-Off and Warm-Up Games

Kids arrive and immediately get moving with group warm-up games designed to build energy and camaraderie. Think relay races, agility ladders, and team challenges — the kind of play that looks like chaos but is actually the first layer of coaching (coordination, listening, following a rule set under mild stress).

10:00 AM — Core Martial Arts Skill Block

This is the backbone of the day. Coached martial arts work — stance, footwork, strikes, blocks, and partner drills. Kids rotate through stations so the hour is active and social, not a lecture. First-time campers start with the fundamentals. Returning campers get more technical variations.

11:15 AM — Games, Drills, and Conditioning

Martial arts disguised as games. Tag-style drills that build reaction time. Obstacle courses that build coordination. Partner challenges that teach kids how to work together, win gracefully, and lose with dignity.

12:15 PM — Lunch and Supervised Free Time

Campers eat the lunch they packed and get supervised downtime. We keep the room calm — not dead, just a reset before the afternoon.

1:00 PM — Character and Leadership Workshop

This is what makes our martial arts summer camp different. Afternoon sessions are interactive workshops — not lectures — around respect, perseverance, anti-bullying, goal-setting, and emotional regulation. We use role-playing, scenarios, and group activities. Kids actually participate. Parents consistently tell us this is the part their child talks about at dinner.

2:15 PM — Cool-Down and Creative Recovery

The day winds down with lower-intensity work — stretching, yoga-inspired cool-downs, journaling, or art tied to the week’s theme. This teaches kids that recovery is a skill, which is a lesson a lot of adults still haven’t figured out.

3:00 PM — Pick-Up

Kids leave tired, happy, and already talking about tomorrow. That’s the goal.

Do Kids Need Martial Arts Experience to Join?

Not at all. Most of our campers are complete beginners. Coaches adapt every session so kids of every level are challenged appropriately and have a great time. By the end of the first day, first-timers are already throwing their first combinations and high-fiving new friends.

Why Naples Parents Pick a Martial Arts Summer Camp Over Generic Camps

Traditional camps often rotate through generic activities — arts and crafts, free play, movies on rainy days. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s not building anything lasting.

A martial arts summer camp is different on purpose. Each day builds on the previous one. Each week introduces new techniques and challenges. By the end of a week — or a full summer — your child has tangible skills they’re proud of: a cleaner front kick, a more confident stance, real rules they can articulate around respect, effort, and how to handle conflict.

Head coach Wil has logged more than 50,000 hours coaching kids and adults, has trained alongside world champions, and has been running kids’ programs in Naples for more than a decade. The discipline piece isn’t fluff here — it’s the default tone of the whole room, and kids pick it up by osmosis in the first couple of days.

Martial Arts Summer Camp in Naples — Frequently Asked Questions

My child has never done martial arts. Will they be left behind?
No. The majority of our campers are brand new. Our coaches scale every drill to the kid in front of them — first-timers and returning campers train in the same room, at the same time, with different expectations. Nobody is “behind.”

What age range is the camp for?
Ages 6–14. We group by age and experience within the camp so the 6-year-olds aren’t paired with the 13-year-olds for sparring-style drills. Both groups get the coaching that fits them.

Is it safe? My kid is a little smaller / shyer than other kids their age.
Yes. We don’t do uncontrolled contact with beginners. Striking work is on bags and pads. Partner drills are slow, coached, and stopped the moment a kid looks uncomfortable. Our coach-to-camper ratio is 1:10 — the lowest in Naples for a full-day program.

What should my child bring?
Athletic clothes, closed-toe sneakers, a water bottle, and a packed lunch + snack. We provide everything else (gloves, pads, equipment).

How much does it cost?
2026 early-bird is $280/week or $1,800 for all six weeks (regular $360/week). Early-bird pricing closes May 1. Full refund after Day 1 if it’s not the right fit.
